– ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Key Responsibilities:

 Setting up and managing a greenfield plant to achieve the project and production goals
 Ensure that the production unit and products meet costumer, quality, legal and regulatory requirements
 Ensure maximum utilization of the plant assets and responsible for forecasts and budget
 Executes business plan and contributes to the development of the company and functional strategy
 Provide leadership to senior managers and develop the organization by owning the people agenda

 Work closely with functional leads from quality, regulatory, EHS, production, supply chain, warehouse, logistics, purchasing, process engineering to maintain timely and compliant production
 Apply DBS tools for continuous improvements and analyzes of performance and implement required projects
 Present India Manufacturing locally and globally and coordinate with global manufacturing sites
 Responsible for EHS for the department

– Education or Experience (in years):
• 9 + years’ multi-functional experience in a matrix production environment with deep understanding of functional nuances to run a plant and deliver on manufacturing targets
• 5 + years working in regulated businesses (ISO, FDA)
• 5 + years leadership experience and documented training
• 3 + years’ experience of lean principles and implementation
• Graduate or Post Graduate Degree (B.Sc., B.Tech., M.Sc., M.Tech., MBA etc)

Other:
Initially (12 months) the Plant Manager is required to act as a Project Lead. The Project Lead plays a key role in managing and leading the operations activities in India for the “Make in India” project. The role requires daily interaction and deep engagement with the “Make in India” project teams in Sweden and United States. The candidate will also connect with state or central government officials in India, Cepheid India representatives and other members of Danaher Opcos in India as needed.
The candidate will be the key contact in India and will drive project task and initiatives. Responsibilities include the coordination and timely completion of project tasks within budget, achieving agreed project targets. The project lead will oversee all local aspects of the project, set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of the project. The function will report to the PM lead in Sweden.
• Responsible for developing and managing the India activities in the project, ensuring that projects/tasks are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
• On a regular basis report project status
• Be responsible for securing project resources and cross-functional management of resources within the organization, coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
